Her work primarily involves navigating the complexities of trademark, copyright, and trade secret law, guiding clients through all stages of the IP lifecycle—from registration and management to enforcement and litigation. Using her background in cybersecurity and application development, Sophie understands software from a developer’s perspective, and the technical, commercial, and regulatory considerations that inform privacy practices for data security and control. Her nuanced understanding of technology positions her as a trusted advisor for startups and established businesses alike.

In addition to intellectual property matters, Sophie has experience in civil and commercial litigation, as well as a variety of business transactions.

Sophie earned both her Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences & Technology, magna cum laude, and her Bachelor of Science in Security & Risk Analysis, magna cum laude, from The Pennsylvania State University. While earning her undergraduate degrees, Sophie was a Cyber Solutions Intern at Lockheed Martin. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as the Publication Editor for one of the top law and technology journals in the U.S., the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology (NC JOLT).
